We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs)
(Full-Time / Part-Time Positions)

About VHA Nursing Programs:

The Adult Visiting Program provides specialized care for individuals aged 18 and above who require complex and specialized nursing services and support at home. Referrals are made through Ontario Health atHome or from hospital partnerships. A valid Ontario driver’s license (G2 or G Class) and reliable vehicle are required. We are hiring for all regions in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Palliative Visiting Program delivers home nursing and end-of-life care for individuals, families, and groups. Our nurses focus on symptoms and pain management to enhance clients’ quality of life. A valid Ontario driver’s license (G2 or G Class) and a reliable vehicle are required. We are hiring for the Durham region.

The Child and Family Program supports families caring for children with complex medical needs, clients range from newborn to 25 years old. Care is provided at home or in school settings, including bus escorts and accompanying clients to medical appointments. This program offers both shift and visiting nurse opportunities, a valid Ontario driver’s license (G2 or G Class) and reliable vehicle are required. We are hiring for the Toronto Central region.

Pay Range:

Visiting Nurse Rate: $26.60 - $41.10 / visit (placement on salary range as per Collective Agreement)

Qualifications:

  • Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Membership of your Professional Association preferred (RNAO/WeRPN).
  • Hold a RPN diploma or RN diploma/degree from a recognized college or university.
  • Hold a valid First Aid or CPR (Level C) Certification.
  • Knowledge of community nursing is an asset.
  • A moderate level of wound care or venipuncture knowledge and experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and documentation skills are essential.
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, and availability for the role.
  • Successful completion of the Physical Readiness Test (PRT) to ensure safe work practices in areas like transfers, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license (G2 or G License) and have a reliable vehicle for traveling, which is mandatory for all visiting nursing positions.
