School Shift Registered Practical Nurse (Day Shifts)(Job Number: 26004031)

School Shift Nurse (Day Shifts) – Supporting Pediatric Clients
We are seeking dedicated nurses to support two pediatric school clients beginning in September.
Schedule
Monday to Friday
School-day shifts approximately 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Arrive at the client's home in Kettle Point by 7:00 AM to assist with morning preparations for the school day.
- Ensure all care needs are completed prior to departure, including feeding, securing necessary medical equipment, and preparing suction supplies.
- Accompany the client on the school bus to and from school.
- Provide nursing support throughout the school day.
- Ride the bus back to the client’s home at the end of the school day, with an expected return time of approximately 3:00 PM.
Location
Home pick-up and drop-off: Kettle Point, ON
School location: Forest, ON
Transportation between home and school will be via the school bus, with the nurse accompanying the client at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide client care by utilizing the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling and health teaching; nurse in charge in the setting and, if required, to the immediate Supervisor at the branch office.
- Provide care according to the established care plan ensuring that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent; care must be within the scope of practice of a Licensed/Registered Practical Nurse.
- Perform routine nursing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Practice as defined by the provincial licensing body.
- Perform specialized nursing procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstrated.
- Observe and document client conditions and changes following proper standards and in accordance with professional and Bayshore Home Health standards.
- Understand and implement infection prevention practices.
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
- Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.
- Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
- Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.

Education:
- Graduate from an accredited/recognized School of Nursing (evidence required)
- Current RPN or LPN registration (in good standing) with the applicable provincial licensing body
- Valid CPR certification
Requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Candidates who have been offered a position are required to provide:
- A clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening,
- Proof of being free from TB
- Two supervisory references
