About Chinook Cardiology

Chinook Cardiology is an established outpatient cardiology clinic providing clinical cardiology services and on-site cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiography, in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Our team works within a collaborative, high-functioning environment focused on delivering timely, high-quality, patient-centred cardiac care.

  • The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in a busy outpatient setting with a strong emphasis on patient care, collaborative teamwork, and efficient, consistent workflow.

This is a full-time position within an established and well-supported clinical team.

Exams performed include:

  • Adult echocardiography
  • Adult congenital
  • Pediatric studies

Training opportunities are available to support ongoing professional development.

Compensation

$50.00 – $57.00 per hour (estimated equivalent range)

We offer a performance-based compensation model within a high-volume outpatient practice, providing competitive earning potential aligned with current Alberta market rates.

Opportunities for increased earnings are available through:

  • Higher-volume days
  • Additional weekend work opportunities

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • Hold Sonography Canada credentials
  • Hold registration with Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT)
  • Hold current BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers
  • Maintain professional liability insurance

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality echocardiographic studies in an outpatient setting
  • Provide a professional and compassionate patient experience
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of cardiac pathology and imaging principles
  • Maintain efficiency and consistency in image acquisition
  • Perform preliminary measurements and contribute to structured reporting, supporting clinical interpretation and continuity of patient care
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and clinic staff
  • Participate in ongoing quality assurance initiatives
