We are currently looking for CRGS certified, or soon to be certified, Ultrasound Technologists (Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) to join our expanding outpatient clinic practice in a full-time or part-time position. Working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain procedures, position patients, adjust equipment, and capture diagnostic images. Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform Ultrasound Exams: Conduct routine and specialized sonography imaging under the direction of Radiologists and referring Physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
  • Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.
  • Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills, build new competencies, and specialize in additional skillsets such as Interventional, MSK, and Breast.
  • Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track ultrasound equipment performance, document findings, and resolve basic issues.
  • Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Prepare and stock exam rooms for exams and procedures; report low inventory as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional Membership: Certified Registered Generalist Sonographer (CRGS) through Sonography Canada, or eligible to obtain. Current registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT), or eligibility for registration.
  • Ultrasound Experience: Clinical competency as a generalist sonographer, with an interest in refining and expanding skills in advanced practice areas such as MSK, OB/GYN, vascular and cardiac exams, and interventional procedures.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Experience in breast, MSK, OB/GYN, vascular, cardiac ultrasound exams, or in interventional procedures, is considered an asset.
  • A Compassionate Approach: A history of remarkable care, collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility.

Additional Information

  • Position Types: Full-time or part-time options to align with your schedule and career goals. Part-time schedules include three or four fixed days per week, depending on FTE.
  • Consistent Schedule: Daytime, Monday to Friday.
  • Work Location: Clinic assignments will be discussed during the candidacy process and guided by operational needs and professional development, with preferences considered where possible.
  • Out-of-Province Applicants: Eligibility for registration with the ACMDTT is required.
