What we are looking for:

As part of the Digital Health team, our Helpdesk Consultants draw upon their effective client centric approach and technical skills to triage incidents and requests from our community throughout the Hospital, remote and external partners. You will support modern end user computing, including productivity applications, hardware, and our Health Information System. Further responsibilities include hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, sending organizational communication related to outages and system upgrades, and end user training.

What you bring to the role:

  • Completion of a recognized post-secondary computer-related program

  • ITILv4 Foundation certification in-progress or completed required

  • Minimum 2 years’ recent related experience supporting end user computing

  • 1-2 years of healthcare related help desk experience preferred

  • Recent related experience with BYOD and mobile device support with smartphones and tablets

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, the latest Microsoft Office suites and Operating Systems

  • Previous experience in a Helpdesk Call Centre, including logging into an ACD system, answer calls and recording user requests in a ticket management system?

  • Experience imaging, configuring and deploying new workstations, peripherals and application software

  • Experience with MEDITECH is an asset

  • Experience with VDI technologies is an asset

  • Proficient in supporting and troubleshooting barcode, label and multifunction printers

  • Ability to support and provide ongoing support to A/V conference rooms and events

  • Proven analytical and prioritization skills with attention to detail and timelines

  • Demonstrated initiative and sound judgement with effective resourcing and follow-through skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with a well-developed customer service focus

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team

  • Must be able to travel between sites – currently 3 locations (Markham, Uxbridge and Toronto)

  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards

  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Monday to Friday, day shifts.
