Refrigeration and HVAC Service Technician - Commercial Service

Sign on Bonus $5,000

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour, we pay based on experience. Journeyperson rate shown; apprentice rates scale with level.

Work Schedule: Full-Time | Monday through Friday

Position Overview:

  • Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment: rooftop units, make-up air units, chillers, boilers, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, etc.
  • Diagnose equipment issues, replace faulty components, and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Install new systems and carry out retrofits in compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance under year-round service contracts with established commercial accounts.
  • Deliver professional, high-quality customer service and complete accurate service documentation.
  • Keep current with advancements in HVAC and refrigeration technologies and best practices.

Job Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson RefrigerationAir Conditioning certificate preferred (Red Seal welcome) - registered apprentices are encouraged to apply.
  • Refrigerant handling (ODP) certification.
  • Hands-on experience servicing commercial and industrial HVAC or refrigeration systems.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulations and industry standards
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers.
