Role Overview

At IFDS our HR mandate is to establish and administer a broad range of human capital programs that enable IFDS to develop and retain the talent required to fulfill our corporate commitments and accomplish our strategic goals. As a member of the Human Resources Team, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting, sourcing, recruiting, and hiring qualified candidates to meet IFDS’ organization's workforce needs.

Role Responsibilities

Workforce Planning & Requisition Management:

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements, hiring forecasts, and recruitment priorities across the organization
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to acquire top talent
  • Drive recruitment efforts, job postings, and maintenance of candidate database, telephone screening and interviewing.
  • Proactive approach in sourcing talent, developing candidate pipelines
  • Managing mid to high volume recruitment demands
  • Accurate and detailed reporting of vacancies and role management

Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development:

  • Identify and engage potential candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, other professional networks, employee referrals, and direct sourcing methodologies.
  • Support the HR Team with planning, coordination and successful execution of networking events and career fairs for high volume recruitment initiatives
  • Proactively build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for future positions by developing and implementing best in class talent sourcing strategies
  • Identify networking opportunities and develop, cultivate and leverage a personal and professional network to source leads and referrals

Talent Acquisition Processes:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle for internal and external candidates, from the requisition intake through to offer negotiation and onboarding coordination.
  • Conduct preliminary interviews with selected candidates to further validate skills, experience and fit in relation to position requirements using behavioral based interview techniques.
  • Provide insightful hiring recommendations to hiring managers based on thoughtful candidate assessments.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and requisition updates within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment legislation, and recruitment best practices.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout every stage of the recruitment process.

Stakeholder Partnership & Talent Acquisition Excellence:

  • Develop and maintain working relationships with HR Partners and Hiring Managers to assist with recruiting needs, job vacancy specifications, and recruitment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with HR Partners on workforce planning initiatives and compensation benchmarking activities.
  • Support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) objectives through inclusive recruitment practices and sourcing strategies.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize hiring outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

Must Have Experience

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources Management preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ full life-cycle recruitment experience preferably in a corporate fast paced environment
  • Recruitment experience within financial services & call centre environment
  • Strong sourcing, networking and lead generation skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills with internal/external stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Results oriented with strong multi-tasking skills
  • Sense of urgency in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience with e-Recruitment tools and behavioral based interviews
  • Experience with Career Fair planning and execution

Salary Range

Pay Range (CAD $): 68,000 - 86,000

The above reflects an industry-benchmarked target compensation range. The salary offered may vary based upon the candidate’s skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business needs.
