Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our amazing culture in our Calgary location. In this role, you will provide project support for a variety of Talent Acquisition programs and processes with a direct focus on sourcing candidates. What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

  • Sourcing candidates to fill open requisites using a variety of tools and processes.
  • Collaborates with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to ensure efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the needs of the business.
  • Assists in the job posting and advertisement process.
  • Screens applicants and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists in interview process, attending and conducting interviews with Business Leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers, HR Business Partners and/or others during the offer letter process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinates, attends and participates in college job fairs, community career fairs as well as military partnerships.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You’ll Need

  • High level of organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills required (good knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint and Publisher).
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Must have high level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

  • Bachelors degree

Preferred Experience: (but not required):  

  • 3+ years of relevant experience; previous experience in human resources
  • Certifications: Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification
