Job Overview

  • Burlington Lions Optimist Minor Hockey Association is a non-profit organization looking for an experienced, highly committed and energetic individual to fill a full time position. The applicant must be familiar with sports and activities pertaining to how a sports club would function. Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering phone systems with professional phone etiquette
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
  • Handle filing, document proofreading, and organization of office supplies and records
  • Provide support via phone and in person, addressing inquiries
  • Coordinate administrative tasks such as mailing, scanning , and managing correspondence

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in office administration or clerical roles, ideally within sports or not-for-profit organizayion.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience with data entry, filing systems, and document management
  • Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone etiquette for handling multi-line phone systems
  • Ability to perform administrative duties such as proofreading, typing accurately, and supporting the Executive Director, Board of Directors and Vlunteers.
  • Previous experience working at the front desk receptionist is preferred but not mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
