JOB TITLE: Front Desk Agent

LOCATION: Comfort Inn & Suites, Fort Saskatchewan, AB

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and organized Front Desk Agent to be the face of our hotel. You will be the first person our guests interact with, so a positive attitude and genuine desire to help people are the most important things you bring to this role. If you enjoy working with people, staying busy, and being part of a team that takes pride in great service, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Services

  • Greet all guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a smooth, welcoming check-in experience
  • Process check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a professional and friendly manner
  • Handle guest concerns and complaints promptly, escalating to management when needed
  • Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain an accurate cash float

Administrative & Operations

  • Make, modify, and cancel reservations using the hotel property management system (PMS)
  • Communicate guest requests and special needs to housekeeping and other departments
  • Complete shift reports and handover notes accurately
  • Follow all Comfort Inn brand standards and hotel policies and procedures

Property Upkeep

  • Keep the front desk, lobby, and common areas clean, tidy, and welcoming throughout your shift including mopping and general tidying as needed
  • Assist the laundry department during quieter periods by folding towels and linens
  • We are a team — everyone pitches in to keep the property running smoothly

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous customer service or front desk experience preferred; hotel experience is an asset
  • Comfortable working with computers and learning new software (hotel PMS training provided)
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in doing the job right
  • A team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves when needed
  • Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
