Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced motivated Dental Receptionist with a minimum of 2 years of dental office experience to join our busy dental practice. The ideal candidate will be reliable, responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and ensuring smooth daily office functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with dental software, and a professional demeanor to support our team and patients effectively.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and check them in/out efficiently
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix or similar dental software
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to handle patient inquiries and appointment requests
  • Verify patient insurance information and process billing using electronic medical records systems
  • Collect payments and explain treatment plans to patients
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment documentation
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and correspondence
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow and office efficiency
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming at all times

Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of dental office experience, with a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Dentrix
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, especially on multi-line phone systems
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and patient information
