The role

The Medical Office Assistant is the first person our patients meet when they walk through our doors. You'll set the tone for their experience. The role focuses on welcoming patients at the front desk, obtaining basic vital signs, and performing ECGs (full training provided). Your priority is ensuring every patient feels cared for and leaves with a positive impression.

We're looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal skills, genuine warmth toward patients, and a willingness to learn new technologies and contribute to team projects. Appointment booking and scheduling are handled by a separate team, so you can focus your energy on patient interactions and clinic flow.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients at the front desk
  • Perform basic vital sign measurements (height, weight, blood pressure) and ECGs (training provided)
  • Chaperone physicians for sensitive exams or patient encounters when requested
  • Support general office operations and team projects

Requirements

  • Certificate from a recognized Medical Office Assistant program
  • Minimum one year of experience in a medical office setting
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfort learning new clinical and administrative technologies
  • Full-time availability, with openness to occasional weekend or overtime hours
  • First Aid and CPR certification (can be completed after hire)
