SEINE RIVER RETIREMENT RESIDENCE, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is looking for a Casual Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our team!

Health Care Aide- Receptionist

The Health Care Aide - Receptionist provides compassionate support to clients and assists healthcare professionals with daily patient care activities while managing front reception and administrative duties. This role serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and staff and helps ensure the efficient operation of the healthcare facility.

Requirements:

· Possess a current Health Care Aide (HCA) certificate.

· Genuine interest in and concern for seniors.

· Experience in Retirement or long-term care is desirable.

· Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

· Ability to learn and apply basic life skills through on-the-job training.

· Must be available to work weekends.

· Time management

· Problem-solving abilities

· Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel

· Customer Service Orientation

· Effective communication

· Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

· Received at least two (2) doses of a Health Canada approved Covid-19 vaccine.

Responsibilities:

· Welcome and assist clients, visitors, and healthcare professionals in a professional and compassionate manner.

· Schedule appointments, answer telephone inquiries, manage correspondence, and maintain accurate client records.

· Provide support to clients with activities of daily living, mobility, comfort, and general well-being as required.

· Monitor and report changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professional.

· Maintain confidentiality of client information and ensure accurate documentation.

· Assist with patient registration, intake procedures, billing, referrals, and administrative tasks.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized reception and client care environment.

· Support healthcare staff with both administrative and non-clinical patient care duties.

· Adhere to organizational policies, safety procedures, and infection prevention protocols.
