Full job description

Great Lakes Animal Hospital is a small animal hospital offering medical, surgical, and dental services for dogs and cats. At GLAH, we are committed to providing the highest level of care for our patients. We pride ourselves on an environment that is welcoming, supportive, collaborative, and centered on teamwork. We are looking for a full-time receptionist who shares our passion and values in order to help expand our practice.

Duties:

-Greet clients and patients in a friendly and welcoming manner

-Scheduling

-Answer phone, email, and social media inquiries

-Maintain a clean and organized environment

-Billing and accounts receivable

-Maintain confidentiality of client and patient information

-Various administrative duties as required

Required Skills:

-Passion for animals and a basic knowledge of animal care

-Previous administrative experience, preferably within a healthcare setting

-Friendly, compassionate demeanor

-Excellent customer service skills

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Computer proficiency, including use of Word and Excel

-Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

-Excellent organizational and time management skills

-Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team

-Problem-solving skills

-Attention to detail
