Full job description

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our dental practice. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys a combination of front desk responsibilities and clinical assisting, and is comfortable working in both areas of the practice.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, has a positive attitude, is eager to learn, and enjoys providing excellent patient care. Previous dental experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person who is motivated and dependable.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Two evenings per week required (Mondays and Tuesdays)
  • No weekends

Responsibilities

Reception Duties

  • Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Schedule appointments, answer phones, and manage patient communications.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate patient records using Tracker software.
  • Help keep the daily schedule running efficiently.

Dental Assisting Duties

  • Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dentist during procedures.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain infection prevention and control protocols.
  • Support patient care and help ensure a positive, comfortable experience.

Qualifications

  • Friendly, professional, and compassionate with excellent communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Comfortable using computers; experience with Tracker dental software is an asset.
  • Dental reception and/or dental assisting experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
  • CDA Level 1/2 certification ideal.
  • HARP certified
