Full job description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Resident Apartment Building Caretaker/Manager to manage the operations of our residential apartment complex located in South Edmonton, 84 units, 2 buildings. As the building Caretaker/Apartment Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the property, providing exceptional service to our residents, and maintaining a high standard of living within the community. This position is a live on-site position, no pets.

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the apartment complex, including performing groundskeeping and maintenance, leasing activities, and tenant relations
- Ensure all units are well-maintained, clean, and in compliance with safety regulations
- Coordinate and schedule apartment viewings for potential tenants
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally
- Implement and enforce lease agreements, rent collection, and lease renewals
- Collaborate with staff to address repair and maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify areas for improvement
- Maintain accurate records of leases, maintenance activities, and tenant communications

Experience:
- Previous experience in caretaking and management or related field preferred
- Handy person skills required, plus experience working on grounds, cleaning, general maintenance, and management at apartment buildings. Experience using maintenance tools and groundskeeping equipment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
