Full job description

SwissRidge Kennels is looking for a highly skilled and creative photographer to join our team and help showcase our puppies and dogs through beautiful, professional photography.

This position involves photographing puppies at various stages of development, including newborns, 4-week-old puppies, and 8-week-old puppies, as well as adult dogs. The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing high-quality images, professionally editing photos, and preparing content for our website and marketing platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Photograph and video newborn, 4-week-old, and 8-week-old puppies.
  • Capture each puppy's unique personality and features.
  • Professionally edit and retouch images while maintaining a natural look.
  • Upload and organize photos for use on our website and social media platforms.
  • Ensure consistent photo quality and branding across all images.
  • Work efficiently with puppies and animals in a safe, calm, and patient manner.
  • Maintain photography equipment and studio setup.

Requirements:

  • Professional photography experience with a strong portfolio.
  • Advanced photo editing skills (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar software).
  • Strong understanding of lighting, composition, color correction, and image retouching.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience photographing animals is highly preferred.
  • Patience and confidence working with puppies and dogs.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
