Job Overview

We are seeking a Residential Real Estate Law Clerk to join our legal team!

About Us

We aren’t your average stuffy law firm. We like our coffee hot, our deadlines met, and our office vibe balanced between high-achieving legal work and a good laugh. We help people buy, sell, and refinance their homes (without losing our own minds in the process). Right now, we are looking for a Residential Real Estate Law Clerk who knows their way around Teraview.

The Role (What You’ll Actually Do)

  • Tame the Paperwork: Prepare the file from beginning to end. Draft, review, and organize requisitions, title documents, statements of adjustments, prepare title search memorandums for counsel, assist with property agreements and complete closing packages.
  • Be the Anchor: Professionally liaise with clients, lenders (big banks and private equity), and municipal offices with a calm and collected demeanor.
  • Run the Show: Manage residential purchase, sale, and refinance files from initial requisition letters to post-closing reporting.
  • Navigate Land Registry: Perform title searches, Teraview electronic registrations, and review parcel registers like a pro. Assist with drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents related to real estate transactions, deeds, and title documents.

What You Bring to the Table

  • The Credentials: A Law Clerk Diploma, Paralegal certification, or equivalent battle-tested experience in an Ontario real estate practice.
  • The Experience: At least 2–5+ years of direct, recent experience running independent residential real estate files in Ontario.
  • Tech-Savviness: Fluency in Teraview, Conveyancer/law firm management software, Microsoft Office, Docusign, PC Law, and Lawyer Done Deal.
  • Possesses an Eagle Eye for Errors: You catch missing signatures and incorrect middle initials in your sleep.
  • Grace Under Pressure: Closing-day chaos doesn't rattle you.

What’s in It for You?

  • Competitive Compensation: Salary Range: $50,000 – $65,000 commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, life insurance and wellness coverage so you stay in top shape.
  • Work-Life Sanity: A supportive team that respects your boundaries after hours. (because burnt-out clerks don’t catch typos).
  • No lone wolves: You get a smart team that shares the wins and solves problems together. Teamwork makes the dream work, and a little humor makes the team work.
