As a Butcher at Cioffi’s, you’ll play a key role in preparing high-quality meats and helping us maintain our reputation for excellence. You will work hands-on with fresh products, prepare custom and standard cuts, and ensure the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and service. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about craftsmanship, quality, and creating an exceptional customer experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
  • Cut carcasses, sides, and quarters
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
  • Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
  • Grind meats and slice cooked meats
  • Wrap, label, and package prepared meats for sale
  • Weigh meats and ensure accurate pricing
  • Shape, lace, and tie roasts and other meats
  • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and seafood
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and assist customers with questions about cuts, cooking methods, and product selection
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

What You Have:

  • Secondary (high school) education required
  • 1–7 months of experience as a butcher, meat cutter, or similar role (we are willing to train motivated individuals)
  • Strong knife-handling skills and comfort working with raw meat
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
