Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure our spaces are hygienic, organized, and well-kept. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to creating a positive atmosphere for staff and visitors alike. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our facilities while developing valuable skills in cleaning and facilities maintenance.

Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility
  • Conduct commercial cleaning procedures in offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas with attention to detail and hygiene standards
  • Maintain floors, carpets, windows, and fixtures to ensure they are spotless and well-maintained
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning products as needed
  • Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for equipment or infrastructure
  • Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning sessions as scheduled or required

Experience

  • Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting moderate loads, and climbing ladders if necessary
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality in all cleaning activities
  • Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
