Responsibilities:
- Respond to author queries related to payments and financial processes via Intercom.
- Liaise with the Content Coordinator, KWL & finance team for payment investigations.
- Provide detailed reporting on author queries related to payment.
- Assist with updating the Help Centre with articles focused on financial topics.
- Support enhanced workflows for author payments and communication.
- Work with the KWL team to identify opportunities for improving the author lifecycle.
Required qualifications:
- College/university diploma or equivalent course study, ideally with a focus on publishing or book selling programs, a college/university diploma or work/project experience in the realm of digital media/content, or other books related experience (for example: experience working at a bookstore, running a book blog/Bookstagram/BookTok)
- Detail and task-oriented, with strong research and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Flexibility and ability to juggle many projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with ideas on how the platform can further develop and diversify.
- Bonus: An interest in writing is a plus.
Nice-to-haves:
- A strong interest in bookselling, e-commerce, and digital reading.
- A passion for self-publishing and the prospect of working with indie authors.
- Experience in customer service with the ability to handle answering author questions and concerns gracefully, helping the team to maintain excellent author relations.
- Confident computer skills - you don’t need to have used our programs before, but you should be agile and willing to learn.
- Experience working with Excel and Google Sheets, and an interest in analytics.
