Roles and Responsibilities

  • First response to all incoming calls
  • Answer patient questions or questions from referring Optometrists
  • Call/ Book consultations/ surgeries including Cataract and Lasik
  • First response to all incoming faxes (emergencies/concerns).
  • Manage all scanning and faxing including referrals/ pre and post op forms.
  • Set up new patients in ACCURO database and create patient charts for consultations and any other appointment required.
  • Filing charts, and pulling charts as required
  • Register, review patient consult forms, scan health card and record current medications and allergies day of surgery
  • Complete all financial submissions- bank deposits, day reports, scanning and emailing all transactions to head office
  • Intake all patients, review consent forms for completion, receive payment and issue receipt. Review surgery day instructions (arrival times, drop protocol, review consent forms and any other pertinent information and answer all their questions)

Optometry and/or Ophthalmology Experience Preferred.
