Company Overview

Canaray Specialists in Oral Radiology is a forward-thinking dental radiology clinic dedicated to advancing digital dentistry. With multiple locations across the GTA and surrounding areas, we are passionate about innovation, learning, and providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.

Summary

We are seeking a full-time dedicated Medical Radiation Technologist to join our team in our GTA clinics, which span from Oakville to Toronto and the surrounding areas. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver cutting-edge oral radiology services and enhance patient outcomes. The successful candidate will rotate through our clinical locations as required and have weekend availability.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire high-quality Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scans, panoramic, and cephalometric radiographs, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Follow patient privacy regulations and clinic protocols strictly to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proofread radiology reports for clarity, accuracy, and consistency with imaging findings.
  • Provide technical support to external facilities regarding DICOM data troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and operations leadership to support workflow improvements and receive feedback.
  • Coach and support fellow staff to foster a collaborative, high-performing work environment.
  • Greet warmly and interact professionally with patients and customers, ensuring a positive experience and clear communication.
  • Complete final checks on patient files to ensure radiologist reports’ accuracy.
  • Perform image rating and assist with ad hoc data processing tasks to support clinic operations.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational protocols.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as required by company policies or operational updates.
  • Open and review CBCT DICOM files, accurately localizing anatomical structures and verifying data integrity.

Qualifications

  • Excellent problem recognition and resolution abilities.
  • Ability to manipulate 3D volume cone-beam data. (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a dental or radiology setting. (preferred)
  • Diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technology program or equivalent training.
  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Effective stress and conflict management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High adaptability to evolving technology and protocols.
  • Thorough understanding of patient privacy legislation and best practices.
  • Ability to work under direct supervision and accept feedback constructively.
  • Ability to work weekends
