General Labour (Temporary, Contract & Day Positions)

What You Will Be Doing, as a General Labourer:

• Assisting with loading and unloading shipments, containers, and delivery trucks.
• Picking, packing, sorting, and organizing inventory within warehouse or production environments.
• Preparing materials, cleaning work areas, and maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
• Utilizing basic hand tools or assembly equipment under proper supervision.
• Adhering strictly to all health and safety guidelines on-site.Other duties as assigned.

What You Should Have, as a General Labourer:

• Previous experience in warehousing, construction, manufacturing, or general labour is an asset but not required (we train for attitude!).
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Possession of CSA-approved steel-toed boots (safety vest/glasses provided where required).
• Attention to detail.
• Good verbal communication.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.

In Return, You Will Receive:

• $17.00 to $20.00 per hour (based on specific assignment and experience)
• Flexible work schedule – lots of overtime available
• Paid weekly, every Tuesday.
• Opportunity for permanent hire
• 4% vacation pay – accrued and paid out when you need it
• Access to a Vertical Representative Monday to Friday 8am to 11pm and on weekends

The Shift You Will be Working is:

• Various shifts available including Days, Afternoons, Nights, and Weekends.
• Shift lengths typically vary from 8 to 12 hours depending on the assignment.
• Opportunities for both short-term daily coverage and long-term full-time schedules.

Where You Will Be Working, as a General Labourer:

• Various locations throughout Edmonton, AB.
• Many of our client sites are highly transit-accessible; however, for certain industrial park locations, having a reliable personal vehicle is a strong asset. We work hard to match you to a location that fits your commute!
