Job Overview

Project Manager — Residential Roofing

Firon Roofing — Ottawa, ON | Full-time, Permanent | $75,000–$125,000

Firon Roofing is one of Ottawa's most established residential roofing companies, and we're growing. We're hiring a Project Manager to run 3–4 crews doing residential re-roofing, with some fascia, soffit, eavestrough, and siding work.

This is a real ownership role. You'll take jobs from sales handoff to final walkthrough — and you'll be the reason they go out planned, come back profitable, and leave homeowners writing 5-star reviews.

What you'll do

  • Run 3–4 crews on residential re-roofing projects across the Ottawa area
  • Review every job before it starts — scope, materials, pricing, and crew instructions checked and complete before day one
  • Own quality control on-site: inspect the work, catch issues the same day, and never pay for a second trip
  • Manage change orders: price extras, get customer sign-off, and paper the work before it's performed
  • Be the customer's main contact — daily schedule updates, walkthroughs, and quick answers from start to close-out
  • Coordinate equipment and materials so crews never wait
  • Close out jobs fast: photos, worksheets, and billing package complete within 48 hours
  • Keep every site safe — fall protection and site standards enforced with every crew, every day
  • Hit margin targets on your portfolio of jobs and review results with management

What you bring

  • 5+ years in residential roofing or exterior construction (2+ years leading crews or projects)
  • Strong knowledge of steep-slope asphalt roofing; familiarity with fascia, soffit, eavestrough, and siding a plus
  • Experience with job management software, CRM systems, work orders, and job costing
  • A checker's mindset: you review before you send, and you don't like surprises
  • Clear, professional communication with homeowners, crews, and the office
  • Valid driver's licence; Working at Heights certification (or willing to get it right away)

What we offer

  • Pay based on performance - metrics tied to customer experience, change order discipline, and keeping jobs on budget and on schedule
  • Paid vacation
  • RRSP matching
  • Health & dental benefits
  • Vehicle/gas allowance and company phone
  • A growing company that promotes from within — this role is a stepping stone to senior operations leadership

How to apply

Apply with your resume and a short note about the biggest residential project you've run and how you kept it on budget. We reply to every serious applicant within one week.
