Tacos La Cantina is looking for an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our fast-paced quick-service kitchen in Whistler.

This role is ideal for someone who loves operations, systems and developing people. Our menu and recipes are established your focus is making sure they are executed consistently, efficiently and to standard every shift, while building a strong, accountable kitchen team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily BOH operations in a high-volume, quick-service environment
  • Ensure established recipes, portions and preparation standards are executed consistently
  • Maintain speed, quality and efficiency during service
  • Strengthen kitchen systems, processes and workflows
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop the kitchen team
  • Manage scheduling, labour, food cost, inventory, purchasing and waste
  • Maintain strong FoodSafe, sanitation, health and WorkSafeBC standards
  • Stay hands-on and support the team during busy periods
  • Work closely with restaurant and culinary leadership to continuously improve operations

These responsibilities reflect the core role, including quality standards, training, cost control, scheduling, purchasing and operational efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive kitchen or quick service restaurant experience
  • Leadership experience in quick-service, fast-casual or high-volume operations
  • Strong systems mindset with a focus on consistency and execution
  • Experience with food cost, inventory, purchasing, labour and waste controls
  • Strong people leadership, coaching and communication skills
  • Organized, hands-on and calm under pressure
  • Margine Edge experience is an asset
  • FoodSafe Level 1 or equivalent is an asset or the ability to obtain this certification
  • High-volume experience, teamwork, organization, accountability and the ability to coach and develop cooks.
