Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Houseperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality, hotel operations, housekeeping support, custodial services, or general cleaning. The Houseperson will assist the Housekeeping Department in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming guest and public areas throughout the hotel.

Duties:

• Maintain cleanliness of hotel public areas, hallways, stairwells, entrances, and common spaces
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and clean floors and surfaces as required
• Remove garbage and dispose of waste properly
• Assist Housekeepers with linens, towels, supplies, and other room-related needs
• Collect and transport dirty linens and garbage from guest floors
• Restock housekeeping closets and supply areas
• Clean and sanitize public washrooms
• Assist with laundry duties when required
• Perform light groundskeeping duties, including litter removal and keeping entrances and outdoor areas clean and tidy
• Assist with moving furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed
• Respond to guest requests in a courteous and professional manner
• Report maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns to the appropriate department
• Assist the Housekeeping Department with additional duties based on operational needs

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping, hotel operations, cleaning, or custodial work preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is an asset
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Friendly and professional when interacting with guests and team members
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and move supplies, linens, garbage, and other items as required
• Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays based on hotel needs

Note: Performance and wage increases are evaluated annually in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

Pay: $17.60-$18.85 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24.0 per week
