About the Opportunity

Pazmac is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team of quality professionals in the role of Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer in the Quality Control Department. Pazmac has four (3) Zeiss CMM's and full metrology lab. The team is composed of six (6) full time inspectors on two shifts including a supervisor. The successful applicant will report directly to the Quality Control Supervisor.

Responsibilities include:

  • Inspect parts with various metrology to validate dimensional and GD&T measurements against drawing tolerances
  • Interpret and understand drawings and other furnished specifications
  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve technical issues and ensure process adherence and product quality
  • Set up/Operate Zeiss CMM machines for the inspection of parts.
  • Creating cmm programs from solid models for verification of parts during the manufacturing process, and the final inspection process.
  • Comply with company safety and work policies
  • Take pride in your work

Candidate Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years working experience in a Quality Control / Inspection environment
  • Ability to use a broad range of measuring instruments and hand tools
  • Applicant should be familiar with Zeiss Calypso 6+ software or similar CMM operating software. Experience with CMM programming is an asset.
  • Proficient communication skills are essential, and Technical writing skills are an asset
  • Demonstrated experience with ISO-9001-2015 / AS9100D or similar registered quality system is preferred
  • Attention to detail and acceptance of responsibility and accountability.
  • Confidence and ability to work independently AND as a team member to support our goals and culture
  • Willingness to learn procedures and processes to support and maintain safety, product quality, and on-time delivery
  • Ability to work shifts
  • Eligible for Canadian Controlled Goods registration is mandatory

Pazmac offers a competitive salary / total compensation package commensurate with experience.

Hours:

Pazmac currently operates five days per week. Hours for this position can be discussed during the interview process.
