As a Remote Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing survey projects from initiation through completion, primarily in a remote capacity. You will oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client communications while coordinating with surveyors, technologists, field crews, and other project team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and within established timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities:

• Client Relationships: Build strong client relationships, manage expectations, and provide excellent service.
• Project Planning: Define project scope, methodology, budget, schedule, resources, safety, and risk strategies with clients and stakeholders.
• Team Leadership: Lead survey and support teams, providing direction and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
• Client Communication: Act as the primary client contact, providing updates and addressing concerns.
• Resource Allocation: Coordinate equipment, personnel, subcontractors, and internal resources to meet project needs.
• Project Execution: Oversee project delivery, ensuring compliance with surveying standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Quality Control: Review survey data, reports, and deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Financial Management: Monitor budgets, expenses, profitability, change orders, invoices, and accounts receivable.
• Risk Management: Identify project risks and implement strategies to minimize their impact.
• Safety Management: Provide safety leadership, communicate hazards, ensure PPE and orientations, and monitor site safety.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain project records and provide regular progress reports.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and communicate opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and quality.

Requirements and Skills:

• Diploma or degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5 years + of project management experience in surveying or geospatial industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment, particularly in the Lower Mainland.
• Familiarity with LiDAR, laser scanning, RPAS, and multibeam technology is an asset.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Ability to travel to offices when required.
• BCLS, CLS, or PEng designation is an asset but not required.
• Strong project management, planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management skills.
• Effective leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and team-building abilities.
• Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and manage expectations.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and work ethic.

Pay: $100,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
