Job Description: Python Operator

Position Overview

TCS is a growing company present in Southern Ontario offering services to the construction industry at large. We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Python Operator to support our automation, data, and system workflows. The Python Operator will be responsible for running, monitoring, and maintaining Python-based scripts and applications, ensuring reliable execution of daily operations. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain Python scripts or programs for automation, data processing, and system tasks.
  • Operate and monitor Python-based applications to ensure smooth daily execution.
  • Debug and troubleshoot errors in Python code and suggest improvements.
  • Integrate Python scripts with databases, APIs, or third-party tools.
  • Document code, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT, data, or engineering teams to improve efficiency through automation.
  • Perform scheduled or on-demand runs of Python programs and verify outputs.
  • Ensure compliance with coding best practices and security guidelines.

To Be Successful, You Will Need

  • Work in a production environment
  • Strong understanding of Python programming fundamentals (syntax, libraries, error handling).
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a technical team.
  • Attention to detail when running scripts and verifying results.
  • Good communication skills for documenting processes and reporting issues.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies and business needs.
  • Ability and functional Safety handling using Crane lifting heavy material
  • Grinding experience

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python programming (knowledge of key libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Requests, etc.).
  • Experience in automation, scripting, or application support.
  • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with Linux/Windows command line operations.
  • Understanding of version control (e.g., Git).
