This part-time position is ideal for psychologists who are balancing other commitments or are newer to the field and are looking to gradually build a private practice caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general assessment and psychological treatment to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

  • Provisional Psychologists must have an approved external supervisor.
  • Demonstrated competence or emerging confidence in working with: Neurodivergent populations (e.g., ADHD, autism), PTSD and trauma-related presentations, Anxiety disorders.
  • Experience working with children (5yo+).
  • Competence or growing interest in providing couples and/or family therapy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build therapeutic rapport across age groups.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence, including experience working with marginalized communities, racialized individuals, and diverse cultural backgrounds, with a commitment to anti-oppressive and inclusive practice.

Additional Qualifications

  • Training in EMDR (or willingness to pursue training).
  • Training in Play Therapy (or willingness to pursue training).
  • Training in Gottman Method or EFT (or willing to pursue training).
  • Experience with attachment-based, relational, and/or systems-oriented approaches.
  • Interest in long-term therapeutic work and depth-oriented practice.

Ideal Candidate

You are an early-career or developing psychologist who values connection, authenticity, and thoughtful, client-centered care. You are eager to continue learning and growing, and you appreciate having both independence and support as you build your practice.

You feel aligned with trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and culturally responsive approaches, and you are interested in working with both children and relational systems (couples and families).

Most importantly, you are looking for a practice where you can grow at your own pace, feel supported in your development, and build meaningful, sustainable clinical work.
