Full job description

Heartland Psychology is a trauma-informed private practice located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. We are located on the third floor of a professional building overlooking the heart of Fort Saskatchewan. We offer monthly consultation groups at our practice to encourage a collaborative and supportive learning environment for our team and promote the highest standard of care. We're located just 15 minutes from Sherwood Park or Northside Edmonton, with full admin support to ensure therapists can focus on client care.

We are a compassionate and skilled team of psychologists and admin looking to hire a Registered Provisional Psychologist or Registered Psychologist to work primarily with adults and teens. Providing couple's therapy and/ or working with children would be an asset to this position.

We offer full caseloads and can be flexible with your needs. Ideally, we are seeking a psychologist to work 15 hours per week with at least one evening or Saturday shift. However, we are open to meeting the scheduling needs of all contractors.

Responsibilities:
- Primarily work with adults using evidence-based treatments and interventions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on therapeutic goals using trauma-informed and somatic-based interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
- Stay current with advancements in the field of psychology through ongoing research and professional development.
-Adhere to the College of Alberta Psychologists' Standards of Practice and be in good standing with the regulatory body.

Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology related to mental health and psychology
- Strong research skills to gather relevant information for treatment planning
- Ability to collect and analyze data to assess client progress and treatment effectiveness
- Excellent client care skills, including active listening and empathy
- Experience working with adults and adolescents in a therapeutic setting
- Familiarity with working in a private practice or healthcare environment

Pay: $141.00-$164.00 per hour
