Nurse Practitioner (Contract)Part-Time (Flexible) | Opportunity to Grow to Full-Time

About KIN Integrated Child Health

KIN Integrated Child Health is a one-stop child health service place and purpose-built clinic redefining how care is delivered to children and families. We believe that children do not grow in silos—and neither should their care. That’s why KIN brings together psychology, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and integrated developmental supports under one cohesive, collaborative model.

At KIN, we are not just offering services—we are building a developmental ecosystem where children are understood in the context of their relationships, environments, emotional wellbeing, development, and environments. Our work is grounded in clinical excellence, but equally in warmth, connection, and real-life impact.

We are intentionally building a team that:

  • Values whole-child, integrated care over isolated treatment
  • Thrives in collaborative, cross-disciplinary environments
  • Is committed to high-quality, evidence-based practice
  • Wants to be part of something growing, innovative, and meaningful

This is a clinic designed for clinicians—beautifully built, thoughtfully operated, and focused on allowing you to do your best clinical work.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team on a contract basis, starting part-time with flexible hours and a strong pathway toward full-time growth.

This role is ideal for an NP passionate about pediatric development, mental health, behavioural support, and collaborative family-centered care. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely alongside psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists within an integrated care model that supports children and families more holistically.

This is an opportunity to step into a supported, referral-rich environment while maintaining the flexibility and autonomy of contract work.

You’ll be a strong fit if you:

  • Are passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families
  • Enjoy developmental, behavioural, and pediatric mental health work
  • Value collaborative, interdisciplinary care
  • Want flexibility without sacrificing caseload growth
  • Are looking for a long-term clinical home where you can grow

What You’ll Do

You will provide assessment, consultation, and ongoing follow-up care for children and adolescents within an integrated pediatric setting.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive pediatric and developmental health consultations
  • Support children experiencing:
  • ADHD and executive functioning concerns
  • Anxiety and emotional regulation difficulties
  • Behavioural challenges
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Developmental and school-related concerns
  • Autism-related support needs
  • Provide medication consultation and management where appropriate
  • Develop clear, practical treatment and support plans for families
  • Coordinate referrals, recommendations, and collaborative care planning
  • Complete clinical documentation and reports as needed

Collaborative Work:

  • Work closely with psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists
  • Participate in integrated care planning and case collaboration
  • Support families with practical, functional strategies across home, school, and community environments
  • Contribute to a warm, family-centered clinical culture

Work Structure & Flexibility

  • Part-time, flexible scheduling (you build your caseload)
  • In-person and virtual service options
  • Opportunity to develop specialty areas of interest
  • Clear pathway toward building a full-time caseload

What We Offer

We’ve designed this role to remove the typical barriers of private practice while maximizing your clinical focus and growth.

  • Competitive contractor compensation
  • Strong and growing referral pipeline
  • Full administrative and billing support
  • Access to a modern, fully equipped clinic space
  • A truly integrated care model (not just co-located, but collaborative)
  • Professional autonomy with a supportive team environment
  • Optional access to extended health benefits
  • Opportunity to build a stable, full caseload without business overhead
  • Opportunity to help shape and grow an innovative pediatric health program

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families strongly preferred
  • Interest or experience in pediatric mental health, ADHD, developmental health, or behavioural support considered a strong asset
  • Strong interpersonal, clinical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Passion for child and family-centered care

Why KIN

KIN is not just another clinic—it’s a place where clinicians can do their best work.

  • You won’t feel isolated in your discipline
  • You’ll be part of a team that thinks together, not separately
  • You’ll have the support to focus on clinical excellence, not logistics
  • You’ll grow alongside a clinic intentionally building something meaningful for children and families
