Join the Park Opportunity Garden
At Park, we believe a world-class landscape starts from the ground up—and that includes our team. We provide a fertile space where you can plant your ambitions and watch them bloom. Our culture is built on a simple philosophy: When we invest in you, you invest in us.
The "Opportunity Garden" Framework
-
NURTURE: A supportive environment built on safety, integrity, and trust. We provide the tools you need to succeed without the burnout.
-
GROW: We don’t leave your career to chance. If you have the ambition, we provide the ladder through dedicated training and career tracking.
-
THRIVE: This is where your "Can-Do" attitude meets empowerment. We trust our experts and give you the autonomy to tackle challenges head-on.
The Role: Project Manager, Grounds Management
While we provide the environment, we need you to provide the expertise. In this role, you will be the primary architect of landscape maintenance excellence and seasonal snow operations, while serving as the premier point of contact for our valued clients.
As the Project Manager, Grounds Management, you will blend client relationship management, quoting, contract support, and site oversight to ensure our field operations thrive efficiently, safely, and to our high standards. You will collaborate closely with our field teams to resolve operational challenges and keep projects financially healthy.
Your Daily Impact:
-
Client Interaction & Sales: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors, responding to requests with care, preparing quotes for new work, upselling services, and managing contract renewals.
-
Site Oversight & Scheduling: Conduct routine site walkthroughs to track costs and identify service enhancements; build and adapt crew schedules for maintenance teams and Fertilizer/Weed Spray Technicians.
-
Execution & Quality Control: Ensure all field work aligns with company and client standards, proactively troubleshooting operational issues alongside the field crews.
-
Administrative & Financial Oversight: Approve daily time tracking, dispatch work tickets, monitor labor costs/profitability, and coordinate with the operations administrator for seamless billing.
-
Operational Support & Strategy: Procure necessary project materials and equipment, while dedicating roughly 25% of your time to strategic growth initiatives and business development.
- Seasonal Transition Note: From November through April, Park Landscaping shifts focus to snow and ice management. During these winter months, you will oversee a designated seasonal division (such as Sidewalks, Parking Lots, or Special Projects). Hours become weather-dependent and will include evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure safe, timely service.
The Essentials for Growth (KSAs)
To truly thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation of skills and the right mindset:
-
Knowledge: Strong regulatory awareness of workplace safety requirements, compliance standards, and operational best practices for landscaping and commercial snow removal. Understanding of documentation requirements for regulatory compliance.
-
Skills: Proficiency with digital tools and management software (e.g., Google Workspace, Aspire, SiteDocs, ADP, QuickBooks, or similar operational/financial platforms). Proven skill in estimating, quoting work, and managing client expectations.
-
Abilities:
-
Experience & Education: A minimum of three (3) years in landscape maintenance, snow services, or client account management. A diploma, certificate, or equivalent experience in Landscaping, Horticulture, Business, or a related field is preferred. (Industry certifications like PMP or safety credentials are a major asset).
-
Physical & Environmental: Ability to safely navigate active construction sites, uneven terrain, inclines, and excavations. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, read blueprints, and work flexibly in diverse weather conditions (heat, rain, snow).
-
Compensation & Total Rewards
Your total rewards package is designed to support your long-term financial well-being and daily professional success:
-
Competitive Base Salary: Based on experience and reviewed annually.
-
Health & Dental Benefits: Access to our comprehensive group benefits plan.
-
RRSP Matching Program: A company-matched contribution plan to support your long-term financial goals.
-
Incentives: Eligibility for performance-based bonuses and incentive programs offered at the Company’s sole discretion.
-
Tools for Success: High-performance IT hardware, access to a modern corporate tech stack, and the mobile or vehicular resources needed to lead, connect, and execute seamlessly.
Ready to Branch Out? Your Future Starts Here
At Park, we don’t just hire—we plant the seeds for long-term success. If you’re looking for a workplace where your "Can-Do" attitude is rewarded with real opportunity, you’ve found it.
When you join our garden, you’re gaining:
-
Visible Career Paths: Clear milestones for rapid advancement, regular check-ins, and structured raises.
-
Investment in Learning: Dedicated resources for training, licenses, and certifications to keep you at the forefront of the industry.
-
Innovative Tools: The latest technology and machinery to make your work smoother, smarter, and safer.
-
Impactful Work: True pride in the physical transformation of our community.
-
A Culture of Respect: A supportive, high-trust team environment that respects your autonomy and creativity.
