Senior Project Manager – Facility Transfer & StartupPosition Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex facility transfers, industrialization projects, and manufacturing startup activities. This role requires a strong combination of project management, operations leadership, and technical expertise to ensure successful execution of facility consolidations, production transfers, and ramp-ups while maintaining business continuity, quality, cost, and schedule commitments.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and capable of removing roadblocks across operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, ERP, facilities, and production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead facility transfers, consolidations, manufacturing transfers, industrialization, production startups, and ERP deployment projects from planning through stable operations.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, responsibilities, success criteria, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, critical paths, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Drive project execution to achieve schedule, cost, quality, operational-readiness, and revenue objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, supply chain, facilities, and IT.
  • Lead project meetings, governance reviews, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Identify and remove technical, operational, and organizational roadblocks while driving accountability across all functions.
  • Identify project risks, constraints, and dependencies, and implement effective mitigation plans.
  • Challenge assumptions and develop practical solutions to issues affecting execution, quality, cost, timing, or production readiness.
  • Coordinate facility layouts, material flow, capacity planning, workforce ramp-up, and training activities.
  • Oversee equipment installation, tooling, commissioning, qualification, production documentation, process validation, first-article inspection, and operational qualification.
  • Ensure work instructions, equipment, tooling, training plans, and other manufacturing requirements are in place before production startup.
  • Coordinate ERP master data, routings, inventory transfers, planning parameters, system readiness, and cutover activities.
  • Maintain operational continuity throughout facility, production, and systems transitions.
  • Lead the transition from project execution to stable and sustainable production.
  • Coach project teams and functional leaders while promoting disciplined project management and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing, operations, industrialization, or project management experience.
  • Proven experience leading facility transfers, plant startups, or major operational transformations.
  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing equipment, production systems, quality systems, ERP systems, and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent leadership and executive communication skills.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Fluency in French and English is required.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen and able to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
  • This is primarily an office-based position, with the flexibility to work remotely and from other company or project locations as business needs dictate.

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
