Job Overview: Solid General Contractors is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Construction Manager and ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. The Construction Project Coordinator will be responsible for various project-related tasks, including scheduling, document control, compliance monitoring, and coordination with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and Update Project Schedules:
  • Track and update weekly project schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Assist in Issuing Weekly Reports:
  • Collaborate with the Construction Manager to compile and issue weekly reports to clients.
  • Document Preparation and Maintenance:
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain various construction documents in accordance with Standard Construction Documents of CCDC and Construction Liens Act.
  • Construction Scheduling:
  • Assist in preparing baseline construction schedules, including work breakdown structures, resource allocation, production standards, and task sequencing logic.
  • Labor Requirements and Compliance:
  • Determine labor requirements per trade, review allocations for schedule compliance, and ensure adherence to building and safety codes.
  • Trade Coordination:
  • Coordinate trade schedules and material delivery with site staff, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Document Control:
  • Support the Construction Manager in document control activities, including RFIs, shop drawings, site instructions, and change management.
  • Trade Coordination Meetings:
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating trade meetings to review IFC drawings and specs, recording meeting details, and generating action item lists.
  • Compliance Review:
  • Review projects for compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant standards.
  • Permitting and Contracts:
  • Manage main permitting documentation and draft trade sub-contracts compliant with project contracts.
  • Health and Safety Oversight:
  • Monitor site health and safety, flagging and resolving issues in collaboration with the Site Safety Officer.
  • Material Procurement:
  • Oversee material and equipment procurement, ensuring timely delivery to the site.
  • Communication Plan:
  • Assist in devising, implementing, and managing the construction communication plan.
  • Contractual Obligations:
  • Assist in preparing the contract schedule of values, evaluating progress, and drafting monthly draw invoices for internal and client approval.
  • Construction Management Support:
  • Provide support to the construction management team on various tasks.
  • Contract Closeout:
  • Manage the preparation of contract closeout processes, including punch lists, corrective work, manuals, warranties, and as-builts.
  • Project Milestone Tracking:
  • Track, record, and communicate project milestones to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • years of relevant experience in construction project coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
