Senior Project Manager

Job Description Summary:

Sheridan Electric is a leading industrial electrical contractor specializing in complex, large-scale industrial projects across Ontario involving heavy power distribution and process control. We support the full life cycle of a project from design and budgeting to installation and commissioning. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction and Large Projects Manager who will be accountable for planning, execution, and completion of larger and complex industrial electrical construction jobs, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives are met.

You will lead, coordinate internal resources and subcontractors, liaise with clients/stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in project performance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Build and maintain strong customer relationships by being proactive, responsive, and solutions-focused. Ensure clients feel heard, informed, and prioritized throughout the project lifecycle, treating every interaction as an opportunity to earn long-term trust and future business.

· Lead big-ticket industrial electrical projects from award through to close-out: define scope, schedule, budget, staffing, subcontractor engagement, procurement, commissioning and hand-over.

· Support design + build efforts in the concept/budgeting stage with field experience such as power distribution design, conduit layouts, projects plans, etc.

· Take ownership of project financials: prepare initial budgets/estimates, monitor cost performance, manage change orders, achieve margin and profitability targets.

· Ensure project schedule is developed, tracked, and updated; coordinate resources (internal + external), anticipate and mitigate delays, escalate issues.

· Rigorously promote Sheridan’s safety standards and culture

· Manage and execute electrical projects ensuring completion on time, on budget, and to specification.

· Support estimates as needed including estimating labor and material requirements for quotes and change orders in a timely manner.

Experience Required:

· Minimum 10 years of project management experience in the industrialelectrical construction sector (or heavy industrial / infrastructure context) — managing large, complex electrical projects from start to finish.

· Well versed in change management, customer communication, submittals, drawings review, as-builts, dealing with utilities / ESA, and customer communication and more.

· Strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, Ontario/Canada electrical code, electrical construction methods

· Proven experience in industrial food & beverage, logistics, process control, heavy power or water-treatment industries

· Experience and knowledge of High Voltage, Motor Control, Fire Alarm, Data would be an asset

· 309A Electrical Licence with hands on experience

· PMP or related certifications for project management would be considered an asset

· Proficiency with project management tools and software including MS Project, Procore, or equivalent). Knowledge of AutoCAD/Bluebeam/BIM is an asset

· Valid driver’s licence

· Impeccable written and verbal communication skills

· Able to work in a fast paced environment

· Highly motivated, positive and entrepreneurial attitude
