Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Application Analyst to join our dynamic team for a one year term. In this role, you will be responsible to support the Advance Group of Companies in achieving its goals and objectives through the use of technology. This position will provide a first level of ERP support for users across the organization; facilitate the use of information technology within the organization, and work closely with end users and management to identify business needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in IT systems, application management, and software development processes, contributing to the seamless integration of technology solutions that enhance our manufacturing and service capabilities.

Duties

  • Provide support to end users in the use of business applications such as Epicor Kinetic ERP, Autodesk Vault, CAD Link and work with both business and technical support as required.
  • Identify opportunities to create efficiencies leveraging technology by consulting with business management and end users.
  • Create, analyze and validate detailed functional specifications.
  • Work collaboratively with IT staff and employees at all levels of the organization to Identify opportunities to support business goals and objectives through the use of technology.
  • Research and create business cases to support investments in information technology.
  • Create and lead training for end users in the use of information technology.
  • Assist in the implementation of major projects as a member of the IT team and be able to communicate status of these projects to the organization as required..
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Experience with ERP systems with a preference for Epicor ERP
  • Experience with SSRS for report creation.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and data organization methods with preference shown for Microsoft SQL server.
  • Knowledge of procedural programming language with preference shown for C#.
  • Experience in web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar) is an asset.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to superior service delivery.
  • The ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
  • The ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced IT/ERP environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across ERP, integrations, and custom applications
  • Ability to create clear documentation for processes, customizations, and training materials
  • Familiarity with reporting and data extraction tools beyond SSRS
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), change management, and testing practices
  • Willingness to learn new configuration tools such as, but not limited to, Epicor Application Studio, Dashboard Designer, BAQs etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across ERP, integrations, and custom applications

While this position is primarily English, a preference will be show for candidates that can converse and write in French to support our Quebec operation.
