About the Role

Grace & Co. is looking for a talented, highly creative Photographer & Videographer to join our real estate team full-time and take ownership of our visual content.

This is not simply a real estate photography position.

While producing exceptional photography, video, aerial media and 3D tours for our property listings will be a core responsibility, we're looking for someone who wants to become the visual storyteller behind our brand—documenting our listings, our people, our projects and the work that happens behind the scenes.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable carefully lighting and photographing a beautifully staged home, flying a drone to capture a property and its surroundings, creating a cinematic property tour, shooting a fast-paced Instagram Reel, or following our team through a renovation project to turn the process into compelling content.

You'll be responsible for both capturing and editing our media, while helping develop the creative direction and visual identity of our listings and our brand.

Listing Photography

You will be responsible for photographing our residential listings throughout Toronto - with a focus on East Toronto.

We are looking for photography that feels polished, architectural and natural - not simply wide-angle HDR photography.

Our preferred approach involves carefully composing and individually lighting spaces, including the use of multiple off-camera flashes where appropriate, to create bright, balanced interiors with accurate colours, natural-looking windows and a premium editorial finish.

Responsibilities will include:

• Interior and exterior real estate photography
• Advanced interior lighting techniques, including off-camera flash
• Exposure blending and other techniques where appropriate
• Strong architectural composition and attention to vertical lines and perspective
• Twilight and dusk photography
• Detail and lifestyle photography
• Neighbourhood and surrounding-area photography
• Complete post-production, including colour correction, exposure balancing, perspective correction and retouching
• Maintaining a consistent visual style across our portfolio

We care much more about producing exceptional imagery than rushing through properties. Candidates should take pride in composition, lighting and the details that separate premium real estate photography from standard listing photography.

Listing Videography

Video is an increasingly important part of how we market our properties, and this person will lead the creative execution of our listing videos.

Each property shoot should generate multiple pieces of video content rather than a single traditional property tour.

Depending on the listing, this may include:

• Cinematic property tours
• Short-form vertical property videos
• Instagram Reels and other social-first content
• Agent-led property tours
• Walkthrough videos
• Detail-focused and lifestyle videos
• Neighbourhood footage
• Exterior and establishing shots
• Aerial footage
• Behind-the-scenes content from the shoot

You will be responsible for taking projects from concept through final edit, including shot planning, filming, audio, colour grading, music selection, pacing, transitions, captions and export.

A strong understanding of how video differs between Instagram, YouTube, websites and other digital platforms is important.

Drone Photography & Videography

Aerial media will be an important part of how we showcase appropriate properties and neighbourhoods.

You will use drone photography and videography to create compelling aerial perspectives of our listings, their lots, streetscapes, neighbourhoods and proximity to surrounding amenities.

This may include:

• Aerial listing photography
• Cinematic aerial video
• Establishing and reveal shots for property films
• Neighbourhood and community footage
• Capturing parks, waterfront, commercial areas and other local amenities
• Integrating drone footage seamlessly into listing and social media videos

Candidates should have experience operating a professional-quality drone and producing polished aerial photography and video.

You must hold, or be able to obtain, the appropriate Transport Canada drone pilot certification required for the operations involved in this role and be comfortable operating in accordance with applicable Canadian aviation regulations.

3D Tours & Floor Plans

Our listings are photographed using the iGUIDE system to provide buyers with interactive 3D tours, measurements and floor plans.

You will be responsible for capturing properties using an iGUIDE camera and ensuring tours are completed accurately and professionally.

Previous iGUIDE experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Social Media & Brand Content

Beyond our listings, a significant part of this role is documenting what happens every day within our real estate team.

There is an enormous amount happening behind the scenes of a real estate business that clients rarely get to see. We want someone who naturally recognizes those moments and knows how to turn them into interesting content.

You may spend one day photographing a newly staged home and the next documenting a renovation, following a Realtor through their day, capturing neighbourhood content, or filming a community event.

Content could include:

• Our staging and design team transforming properties before they hit the market
• Before-and-after renovation and design content
• Contractors working on listing preparation projects
• Behind-the-scenes footage from photo shoots, staging days and listing launches
• Day-in-the-life content featuring our Realtors
• Educational real estate videos
• Neighbourhood and community content
• Team meetings and office culture
• Client and community events
• Events and initiatives our team hosts or sponsors
• Market updates and Realtor-led videos
• Short-form social media concepts developed specifically for Instagram and other platforms

We don't want to simply document what happens. We're looking for someone who can recognize a story, develop an idea and turn everyday moments into content people actually want to watch.

Creative Direction

This is an opportunity to have meaningful creative ownership.

Rather than working from a shot list every day, we want someone who will actively contribute ideas and help shape the creative direction of Grace & Co.'s visual marketing.

You should constantly be thinking:

"How could we turn this into content?"

You'll work closely with our Realtors, staging team and contractors to identify opportunities, develop concepts and build an ongoing library of high-quality visual content.

Over time, we expect this person to become intimately familiar with our brand and help establish a recognizable visual style across our listings, social media and marketing.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines technical ability with creativity and initiative.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Professional photography and videography experience
• A strong portfolio demonstrating interior, architectural, real estate, commercial or lifestyle work
• Strong understanding of off-camera flash and interior lighting
• Excellent knowledge of camera settings, lenses, composition and exposure
• Experience with gimbals and stabilized video
• Drone photography and videography experience
• Strong video editing and storytelling skills
• Professional photo editing and retouching skills
• Experience with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop or equivalent professional software
• Experience with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or equivalent
• Strong understanding of colour correction and colour grading
• Experience creating vertical short-form video
• Understanding of Instagram Reels and social-first editing
• Ability to capture clean audio for agent-led and interview-style content
• Strong organizational and file-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• A willingness to experiment creatively and bring new ideas to the team

Experience with iGUIDE and professional real estate media is highly desirable.

The Person We're Looking For

Technical ability is important, but we're equally interested in creative instinct.

You notice good light.

You care whether a room is photographed from six inches to the left or six inches to the right.

You understand that a 60-second property video should tell a story rather than simply show every room.

You notice the contractor installing the final piece of a kitchen and realize there's a great before-and-after Reel waiting to happen.

You see our staging team transforming an empty living room and start thinking about where the camera should go.

You're comfortable suggesting ideas rather than waiting to be told exactly what to shoot.

And you're excited about having access to a constant stream of homes, renovations, design projects, neighbourhoods, events and people from which to create content.

Position Details

This is a full-time position based in Toronto.

The role involves regular travel to properties throughout Toronto and occasionally the surrounding GTA. Because real estate schedules can change quickly, flexibility will be important.

Some shoots and events may occasionally take place outside conventional business hours.

Candidates should have a valid driver's licence and reliable access to a vehicle.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and portfolio.

We're looking for someone who wants more than a series of freelance shoots. This is an opportunity to become the in-house creative force behind the visual identity of an established Toronto real estate team and produce a substantial volume of high-quality work across real estate, design, renovation, lifestyle and community content.

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
