Must have a reliable vehicle and be comfortable driving throughout Calgary, Airdrie, and surrounding service areas.

Not a desk job person? Neither are we!

Every day looks a little different here, and honestly, that’s one of the best parts of the job.

We like to say we’re customer service people first, we just happen to hold a camera.

This contractor role is perfect for someone who:

  • Enjoys being out and about instead of sitting behind a desk
  • Likes flexible, independent field-based work
  • Enjoys meeting and working with new people
  • Takes pride in being reliable and professional
  • Loves checklists, organization, and attention to detail

If that sounds like you, keep reading.

About the Role

As a Real Estate Photographer, you’ll travel to residential properties to capture listing media for real estate agents and homeowners. You’ll be trained on our photo, video, drone, and real estate media processes, so previous experience is not required.

This is an active, people-focused, field-based role. You’ll spend your days visiting homes, preparing spaces for media, using cameras and drones, communicating with clients, and helping real estate agents market their listings professionally.

Every day looks a little different here, and that’s one of the best parts of the job.

What A Typical Day Looks Like

  • Travel to scheduled residential real estate appointments
  • Capture interior and exterior listing media using our structured process
  • Interact professionally with real estate agents, homeowners, and other professionals
  • Help prepare homes for photography and video by moving small distracting items when needed
  • Follow detailed shot lists, systems, and checklists
  • Use cameras, drones, video tools, and real estate media technology
  • Communicate clearly with the team and clients
  • Upload media after appointments using your personal computer and reliable internet connection
  • Represent the company with professionalism, confidence, and a positive attitude

This is an active, people-focused role where no two days are exactly the same.

Schedule & Availability

This is a part-time contractor role, approximately 20 hours per week.

  • Must be available 3-4 days per week
  • Typical shoots are booked between 9am and dusk
  • 2-4 appointments per day

Ideal contractors should be comfortable with a flexible part-time schedule and able to communicate clearly about their availability.

A significant amount of driving is involved between appointments, so a reliable vehicle is required.

Compensation

  • Paid training: $15/hour
  • Standard shoots: $25 per unit
  • 1 unit = 60 mins of on-site shoot time
  • Drone shoots: $30 per unit
  • Premium video shoots: $35 per unit
  • Mileage reimbursement: $0.73/km
  • Company gear supplied
  • Opportunity to learn photography, drone, and video media skills

What We’re Looking For

  • Outgoing, friendly, and professional personality
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Reliable and accountable
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Coachable and open to feedback
  • Comfortable meeting new people and working in clients’ homes
  • Comfortable driving throughout Calgary, Airdrie, and surrounding areas
  • Reliable vehicle for transportation between appointments
  • Comfortable using technology and uploading files online
  • Access to a home computer with reliable high-speed internet
  • Some photography experience is a plus, but not required

Many successful contractors come from hospitality, retail, customer service, events, creative work, and other client-facing backgrounds.

Why People Enjoy This Role

  • Paid, structured training
  • Company gear supplied
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Flexible field-based work
  • Opportunity to learn photography, drone, and video skills
  • Regular interaction with real estate professionals
  • Every day feels different and engaging
  • Supportive team environment

This Role May NOT Be a Fit If You…

  • Need guaranteed fixed hours every week
  • Want a highly predictable 9-5 routine every day
  • Dislike interacting with clients
  • Are uncomfortable driving throughout the Calgary area
  • Struggle with schedule flexibility or appointment changes
  • Dislike checklists, systems, or detailed processes
  • Have significant pet allergies or are uncomfortable around animals
