Summary

We are seeking Production Specialists to join our Manufacturing team in Cornwallis, NS. This role is vital for ensuring the efficient production of our products, supporting our mission to deliver sustainable solutions worldwide.

PROFILE

The Production Specialist is responsible for the safe operation of equipment within required specifications within a highly automated and modern production facility. There are SOP’s and SWI’s specific to each area of operation. The Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of housekeeping. Also expected to help in other areas of the facility where and when required.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Follow all standard operating procedures in a safe and timely manner.

· Report any incidents or accidents to the JOHSC and Team Lead immediately.

· Record all required data on daily shift reports and paperwork.

· Operate mobile equipment in a safe manner.

· Maintain and improve housekeeping in accordance with 5S and safety requirements.

· Assist other Specialists as directed by the Team Lead.

· Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S activities.

· Cross-training is required to move Levels.

· Support the needs of the team by displaying initiative and a passion for achieving results.

· Support the company’s vision and policies regarding Health & Safety, Corporate Culture, Environmental Management, and Lean Manufacturing by displaying the appropriate behaviors toward meeting the company’s objectives in these areas.

· Perform other special assignments and projects as required.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent is desired.
  • Basic computer skills are required.

· Basic math skills are required (understanding decimals, simple fractions, and basic conversions).

· Motivated individual willing to learn other operations of the plant and take on additional responsibilities.

· Experience in a manufacturing plant environment would be an asset.

· Experience with rotating shiftwork in a 24/7 operation would be an asset.

· Must have reliable form of personal transportation.
