We are currently seeking an experienced Bindery Production Assistant to provide ongoing support within our growing Bindery department. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, accountable, brings a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.


Position Overview

Location: Mississauga, ON (on-site)

Position: Bindery Production Associate

This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing drafts of technician/operator machine assignments for Bindery Manager approval
  • Distributing drafts to the appropriate Lead Hands and working with Leads to address discrepancies
  • Ensuring jobs and equipment are properly staged to minimize production downtime
  • Reviewing and correcting production data daily, including press data when required
  • Providing out-of-target data to the Bindery Manager and, where appropriate, the Press Manager
  • Assisting with production scheduling in collaboration with the Bindery Manager
  • Reviewing time and attendance for the hourly team to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Overseeing material supply inventory, including trays, boxes, glue, shrink-wrap, and other supporting materials
  • Supporting other department priorities as required

Hiring Range: Starting at $50,000–$60,000, contingent on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Bindery production experience (or similar manufacturing environment)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient numerical aptitude with the ability to perform quick, accurate mental calculations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility
