Industrial Designer

Are you a talented designer ready to take your career to the next level? Pro-X Event, a fast-growing leader in the international corporate event and tradeshow exhibit industry, is on the lookout for an Intermediate to Senior Industrial Designer to help bring our clients' visions to life with innovative, technically sound structural designs.

At Pro-X Event, we provide a full-service approach, offering customized designs and manufacturing solutions for a diverse range of clients across various industries. Location:

  • Mississauga, Ontario (head office)

Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed technical assemblies and drawings in SolidWorks to guide the real-world production of designs
  • Develop conceptual design renderings within Keyshot by blending client requirements, past projects, and innovative ideas
  • Translate client goals into visually striking and functional design solutions
  • Lead design projects from initial concept through final execution, ensuring designs align with client expectations and brand identity
  • Design trade show booths that are not only engaging and on-trend but also quick to assemble and portable, meeting the needs of short-term use and easy transportation
  • Collaborate with production and sales teams to ensure designs are both aesthetically impressive and technically feasible
  • Ensure all designs meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget
  • Foster positive communication and teamwork across all departments within the organization
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, design techniques, and new technologies to bring fresh ideas to the table

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional English communication skills (in person, on the phone and via email)
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Expertise in creating functional, innovative design concepts that meet client needs
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring designs and creative solutions are executed to the highest quality standards
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team setting
  • 2-5 years of proficiency in SolidWorks and Keyshot or similar software, with hands-on experience in using these tools for design development
  • 2-5 years of experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • 2-5 years of experience creating design solutions from concept to execution
  • Experience in exhibit and trade show booth design is highly preferred and considered a strong asset
