Position Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated High School Principal to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual capable of teaching, participating in recruitment events, developing new curriculum, and managing various administrative tasks. This role is pivotal in helping the school achieve its mission of providing excellent education and preparing students for their future.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Tasks:

  • Assist with the daily administrative operations of the school.
  • Coordinate and manage student records and documentation.
  • Support the school administration in planning and organizing school events.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and regulations.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
  • Work co-operatively and collaboratively with stakeholders to meet mutual goals;

Leadership:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and programs.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to support student success.
  • Provide leadership and support to other staff members as needed.

Recruitment:

  • Expanding domestic student market
  • Participate in student recruitment events (Local and international) to attract prospective students.
  • Provide information and guidance to prospective students and their families.

Teaching:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in one or more subjects.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about education and committed to the success of all students.
  • Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers
  • Principal Qualification Part 1 & 2
  • Experience as a High School Principal/Vice Principal
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a teaching role, preferably at the high school level.
  • Excellent knowledge of: Ontario’s education system; the Education Act/associated regulations; the curriculum review/implementation process
  • Excellent knowledge of the Ontario Secondary Curriculum and ability to provide instructional leadership to Secondary Programs
  • Well developed communication/interpersonal/supervisory/management skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills
  • Understanding and Experience with Online school (particularly with Moodle LMS, or similar platform)
