Kiss the Cook Catering is seeking an experienced, hands-on Chef de Cuisine to help lead our growing culinary operation.

We are a Scarborough/GTA catering and events company with strong growth plans over the next 5 to 10 years. We are looking for a mature, creative, organized culinary leader who can support daily production, high-end event execution, menu development, and team leadership. We are looking for someone who wants stability and long term growth with our company

The Chef de Cuisine will report directly to the Executive Chef and help manage approximately 30 culinary staff across our commissary kitchen and onsite catered events.

Responsibilities include:

Leading daily kitchen operations

Managing production for catered events

Supporting high-end onsite event execution

Training and developing cooks, sous chefs, and prep staff

Maintaining food quality, consistency, presentation, and portion standards

Assisting with menu design and new product development

Improving prep systems, workflow, organization, and accountability

Supporting food cost, labour control, inventory, and waste reduction

Ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of progressive culinary experience

Experience in catering, events, banquets, hotels, commissary kitchens, or high-volume premium food service

Previous senior leadership experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Executive Sous Chef, Senior Sous Chef, Banquet Chef, or similar

Strong team leadership and training ability

Creative, organized, hands-on, and calm under pressure

Strong understanding of production planning, event timing, and kitchen systems
