Role Description

The primary function of a Medical Office Assistant is to provide exceptional client experience in the medical and/or aesthetics field. This role is also accountable for maintaining patient confidentiality, verifying patient demographic information, taking payment, and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility. We are looking for a professional team player with excellent interpersonal skills who is able to balance and prioritize multiple duties.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling patient appointments and managing client referrals
  • Answering telephone inquires while educating customers on our products and services
  • Accurately update patient files
  • Supporting doctors and other health care professionals by performing necessary administrative tasks and minor medical duties
  • Ensuring reception and treatment rooms are sanitized and presentable
  • Performing invoicing and billing duties such as printing/mailing invoices, taking payment and reconciling outstanding invoices

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • MOA certification from an accredited institution or higher is an asset
  • 1+ years of proven clerical or customer service work experience
  • Proficient in typing, Microsoft Office Suite programs and with computers in general
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work as a team and independently
  • Possesses excellent time management skills
