Job Summary

Busy Top-performing Car Star is looking to add to our growing team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Body Paint Prepper to join our team. This role involves preparing vehicle surfaces for painting, ensuring high-quality finishes, and supporting the overall repair process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive repair, experience with hand and power tools, and the physical ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in automotive bodywork and paint preparation within a professional dealership environment.

Responsibilities

  • Sanding, masking, and priming vehicle surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion
  • Inspecting vehicles for surface imperfections and addressing issues before painting
  • Using hand tools and power tools to remove old paint, rust, or damaged panels
  • Assisting with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or panels as required
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
  • Collaborating with technicians and painters to ensure quality standards are met
  • Following all safety protocols and procedures during preparation processes

Experience

  • Dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle bodywork and repairs
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, grinders, and scrapers
  • Experience working with power tools used in automotive prep work
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
  • Mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive systems is a plus
