Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. This role involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, and eager to learn about kitchen operations in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
  • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth workflow
  • Help with organizing storage areas and disposing of waste properly
  • Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation when required

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team setting and follow instructions carefully
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting light loads
  • Flexibility to work during scheduled shifts, including weekends if necessary
  • Basic knowledge of food safety regulations is advantageous but not required

Candidates with a G Driving Licence who can assist with deliveries are preferred.

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
