Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Guillotine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating heavy-duty cutting equipment to process various materials with precision and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing environments, possess mechanical knowledge, and be capable of handling heavy lifting. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and safety are paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the guillotine cutting machine to accurately cut materials according to specifications
  • Ensure proper setup and calibration of the equipment before use
  • Monitor machine operation for safety and quality standards during production runs
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the guillotine to ensure optimal performance
  • Use hand tools, power tools, Mini Excavators and loaders, machinery as needed for material handling and adjustments
  • Assist with material loading and unloading using forklift or warehouse experience
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality expectations

Skills

  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as guillotine cutters in a manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical knowledge related to machining, assembly, and maintenance of industrial equipment
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and CNC machinery
  • Experience with forklift operation and warehouse procedures is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of machining, or construction processes is a plus
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
