Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Electrical Substation Technicians to support utility-scale high voltage electrical substation construction and upgrade projects in the United States. This role is open to qualified candidates eligible to work in the U.S. under an E‑2 Treaty Investor Visa.

The Substation Technician will support greenfield construction and brownfield upgrades, working closely with project teams to safely install substation equipment in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation and maintenance of substation equipment
  • Support primary and secondary systems, including protection and control components
  • Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and construction documents
  • Perform work within control buildings, including wiring, panel installation, and testing
  • Assist with civil and foundation-related activities as required
  • Support both greenfield construction and brownfield upgrade projects
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and project schedules
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field supervisors

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience working on high voltage electrical substations
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
  • Primary and secondary systems
  • Testing and commissioning
  • Control building work
  • Civil or foundation-related substation activities
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
  • Willingness to travel and/or relocate based on project needs
  • Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments
  • Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting projects for:
  • Investor-owned utilities
  • Municipal utilities
  • Engineering or design firms
  • General contractors
  • Experience working on projects in the United States or similar regulatory environments

Visa Eligibility Notice

This position may be eligible for sponsorship under the E‑2 Treaty Investor Visa program. Candidates must meet E‑2 visa eligibility requirements. Employment is contingent upon work authorization approval.

Start Date

  • ASAP, based on project needs

Pay: $45.00-$65.00 per hour
