Marketing Coordinator
Gold’s Gym British Columbia is looking for a creative, organized, and digitally savvy Marketing Coordinator to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who understands that great marketing is more than advertising — it’s about building a strong brand, creating engaging content, connecting with our community, and protecting and growing our online reputation.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content
- Support the Marketing Manager with the development and execution of Gold’s Gym BC’s social media strategy.
- Create, schedule, publish, and monitor engaging social media content, including captions, graphics, short-form video, photography, campaigns, promotions, and member-focused content.
- Identify opportunities to increase engagement, reach, brand awareness, and community interaction.
- Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to keep content current and relevant.
- Maintain a consistent Gold’s Gym brand voice across digital channels.
- Work with club teams to identify member stories, events, staff highlights, promotions, and content opportunities.
Online Reputation & Community Engagement
- Monitor Gold’s Gym BC’s online reputation across social media, Google, and other relevant platforms.
- Monitor and respond to reviews, comments, messages, and online conversations in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify recurring member feedback and trends and communicate relevant insights to leadership.
- Help turn positive member experiences into testimonials, engagement, and brand storytelling.
- Assist with initiatives that strengthen our reputation and relationships within local communities.
- Escalate sensitive or significant customer concerns appropriately.
Marketing & Campaign Support
- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Assist with email marketing, CRM campaigns, digital marketing, paid advertising, events, and community initiatives.
- Assist with marketing materials, promotional assets, signage, and other brand collateral.
- Coordinate with internal teams, club leadership, vendors, and external partners as required.
- Research marketing, social media, fitness, and consumer trends to identify new opportunities.
Public Relations & Communications
- Assist with public relations initiatives, community outreach, and event marketing.
- Research, write, and assist with press releases and other public-facing communications.
- Support local partnerships, community initiatives, and promotional activations.
- Help ensure Gold’s Gym BC is represented professionally and consistently across all public-facing communications.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is creative, proactive, highly organized, and genuinely excited about social media and building brands.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, public relations, or a related field is an asset.
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, social media, communications, public relations, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling abilities.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience with social media management, content creation, email marketing, CRM platforms, or digital marketing tools is an asset.
- Experience with graphic design, photography, video, or short-form content creation is an asset.
- Knowledge of public relations and reputation management is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- A positive, professional, and collaborative approach.
- A passion for fitness, health, wellness, and the gym industry is an asset.
- Reliable transportation is required.
