Summary

We are looking for a motivated Service & Support Technician to join our team. This hands-on role combines field service, technical troubleshooting, client training, and remote support to keep our clients’ operations running smoothly. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair POS hardware and software components.
• Conduct routine maintenance and system updates on POS equipment.
• Diagnose technical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve hardware and network problems.
• Utilize hand tools for hardware repairs and installations.
• Support network setup including computer networking and low voltage systems.
• Document service activities and maintain accurate records.
• Stay updated on the latest POS technology trends to provide expert support.
• Duties include in-shop, on-site, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude, collaborative team player, and strong work ethic.
• Strong written, telephone, and in-person communication skills with a friendly, professional, and patient customer service approach.
• Proven experience with computer hardware, networking, and maintenance.
• Material knowledge related to POS systems is preferred.
• Ability to use and maintain a tool kit effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
• A working understanding of AI (or demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to quickly develop one), including how artificial intelligence is applied in modern POS systems for analytics, predictive maintenance, fraud detection, personalized recommendations, inventory forecasting, and intelligent support tools.
• Prior experience in retail or hospitality technology support is a plus.
• Direct experience with popular POS platforms an asset.
• Familiarity with AI-enhanced retail or hospitality technologies (analytics dashboards, smart recommendations, predictive tools, etc.) or a strong interest in learning these capabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability/willingness to travel locally for on-site service (significant field component, supported by remote diagnostics and tools).

Pay: Up to $43,137.75 per year
